Edinburgh, Scotland's stunning capital, is perched precariously on a group of hills and crags between the Firth of Forth and the Pentland Hills. Its dominant landmark is Edinburgh Castle, at the heart of the city, this lofty 15th century edifice perches high on one of the several extinct volcanoes that that helped earn Edinburgh the nickname “The city of 10,000 steps”. Edinburgh has a lot of history as you would expect of the capital but more significantly it also has a lot of great pubs and clubs.
